I talked Leslie into painting with me, and she painted her first oil painting, using a size 4 filbert brush and a rigger. We improvised: her palette was a couple of paper plates, and her canvas was taped to a cardboard.
Leslie did a great job! Here is her painting; it is of the same corner of the Demetria Estate Winery patio that I did a sketch of yesterday.

I love the greens in this one and the atmospheric feel to it. Great job getting these done while on holidays!
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd bring back with you a new scene for us. It's lovely. And kudos to Leslie too.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how a person can paint while they are on vacation ... really. Even with all you have going on you are doing a wonderful job of your daily paintings. Your florals are amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Barb, Jodi and Nancy! It was nice to have an afternoon to paint. The landscape here is incredibly beautiful and makes me want to paint it all. I hope I'm bringing home a lot of reference photos.
